David Swierenga

An airplane only generates revenue when it is in the air. Spoken like a true economist, which is exactly what David Swierenga is. Swierenga was the chief economist at the Air Transport Association in Washington, DC and now runs his own aviation consulting firm, AerEcon in Vienna, Virginia.
He advocates the use of smarter boarding by airlines to reduce the turnaround time of the aircraft, and thereby increase utilization.
